Coming in April 2011 the main man himself, Daniel Haaksman, will be releasing an album on Man Recordings, and if the free download and album preview track, Tamanehro, is anything to go by, it will be a HUGE mix of baile, electro, house and general big room club action. What else can we ask for? Can’t wait!
I’ve just received a fantastic mix by an elusive blog calling itself Ravedigga.com! I couldn’t really tell you much more than that, other than if you are into basseyraveytribalhouseydubstepbeats and more then this is surely a space you should be getting ready to follow.
Check out the pre-launch site and mix here http://www.ravedigga.com/
I’ve recently started following a tech/tropical/tribal house producer with quite possibly the most fantastically awesome name ever, King Kong! Portuguese based producer Maurillo is behind the guise and he’s shopping all these productions out for nada! In his own words “the free tracks are my way to say thanks to all of you”. Who can say fairer than that?
It’s always nice to come across something fresh from Fly Beats home city, Coventry, even if the producer in question is London based these days. Disqueostu in fact has lived all around the world, from Tokyo to New York. So it’s no surprise that along with fellow band members of Deepfat, Bombed Last Night, mangles together a mixture of elements including slowed down tech-funk, distortion and rave to create what I can only describe as terror-stomp! In fact it reminds me of a time when another Coventry DJ played Aquasky and Meat Katies Overneath on 33 1/3 (by accident?) and it sounded gut wrenchingly awesome! This is pretty exciting stuff and Stu has been in contact saying he’s beavering away on some new solo stuff. Bring the noise!
If you so happen to be in Paris tomorrow (13th January 2011) then make sure to catch K.GoL in the city’s hippest joint, The Social Club (I ♥ this club!), along with a load of other hype DJ’s including Kanji Kinetic and Black Noise for the Snap! Records club night. It’s gonna blow-up!
Pete Jordans new mix, What I Do In Dark Rooms, doesn’t fully disclose the whole truth. If it did then he’d surely find an arrest warrant with his name on it. What it does do though is showcase the best bits of his production and forthcoming releases.

And be sure to catch Spectrums 10th Birthday celebration as Pete celebrates a decade of his club brand with a legion of hardcore party goers.
There’s not much I like more than French electro hip-hop, but one thing I do is plenty of gore. Gore in jap splat, Herschel G Lewis and even Peter Jackson films before he was making blockbusters. Gore in Italian cannibal films, Italian zombie films and Italian Jaws rip offs. Gore is more! So we can thank Maximilien Dumesnil from infraksound & Julien Perrin for their amazing output in the music video for Flore feat Les Gourmands – La Folie des Glandeur.
Not content with being one of the UK’s most successful promoters and highly rated DJ’s, Pete Jordan recently took the dive into full on producing and was instantly signed to huge labels like Top Billin’ and Distinctive. One of his first most prominent and widely celebrated tracks of last year was Night Controllers. Due to legal issues, however, it appears it won’t be getting an official release…
Of course, being the generous sort of chap Pete is, he’s not going to let such a big package go to waste. So instead he’s put it out for free alongside another version and a dubstep remix. Take it, run with it, and keep your eyes keenly pointing in his direction as 2011 is surely going to be his biggest year to date.
