King Kong has made a massive impression on me over the last year. He continually pumps out free and quality tracks, track after track. This time he’s grabbed the famous and infectious Tetris theme tune and gave it a good going over, moombahton style. The last time I heard Tetris in a club track was when I was about 12! (Dr Spin – Tetris for anyone that cares to Youtube that!).

Major Havoc recently got in touch with this new mix from his new project – Bruxism. As ever, Raky mixes things up, but under Bruxism it sounds like he’s going down a tech bass route with sprigs of soul and tribal/tropical goodness. All in all a fantastic mix and new direction.

I’m a big, big fan of random animal sounds in club music, which probably stems from all the exotica I was subjected to as a kid.

On FBM, The Deficient used some monkey to fine effect in his remix of Major Havocs UBO.

Chicago’s Ghetto Division have dropped off a couple of tracks to promote the release of D-51′s Invasion EP. Out August 10th. I gotta say their hometown producer, M-DOK, has dropped some really slick tropical style riddims. So this is well worth a download.
